I have a RAID 5 array that is no longer visible. I had a 1.2 TB RAID 5 with a hot spare mounted on a PC using Apples FC card. In the processing of moving the RAID array I shut down the PC and then inadvertely unplugged the power to the RAID before shutting it down. Now the RAID Admin utility shows 7 avaliable drives but no RAID arrays. I tried connecting the array to a MAC to see if I could us the disk utility but none of the drives are visible. My thoughts are that the data is probally intact becauase the drive was unmounted when it lost power.
Has anyone had similar experiences with the Xserve RAID boxes? I've got about 800 GB of valuable data that I'd like to recover.
