Yeah! Finally! Thanks a lot, Apple!
My old SCSI Yamaha CD burner works in 10.1.3, with support for CD burning in the Finder! :D
Just to let you know, so you people out there with old SCSI macs and yamaha burners don't put them away ;)

I was all psyched that my Yamama 400 CD-R
was supported in 10.1.3, but I have yet to be able to
make anything other than a coaster!! 3 for 3.

have you burned any cds yet?
did they turn out OK?

The Finder finishes burning, then verifies.
At the end of verifying, it then says 'this is a
unreadable volume,' and would I like to
initialize it?...

Are there logs for this activity somewhere?
Are there settings for burning from the finder?
e.g. RAM-cache settings to prevent buffer-underruns?
I'm used to using toast, where you at least know
what went wrong.

The burner functions at about 95% under OS9.

My LaCie (Yamaha) 6X-4X-16X burner also works in the Finder and iTunes. About time...I was just about to go out and buya firewire drive - good thing I waited, or really, good thing I'm cheap right now.

Everything seems to work fine, but iTunes doesn't recognize the burner.
It works fine in the Finder.
Yeah, I too like Toast better -Finder makes the process so complicated. First you have to copy the contents of the CD to the CD; then prepare it for burning (which takes half an hour or something if there are many files), then burn it, then verify it. In Toast you can at least chose not to verify it. All that makes the process of burning a CD in Finder take around an hour...
