Yahoo.co.jp Email Extension

I am having difficulty with email received with the yahoo.co.jp extension.

When I do a "reply to" an email with that extension, the message thread disappears so there is no reference to what was said in the previous email. It only happens with the "yahoo.co.jp extension." I do not have any problems with any other mail service.

Is there a way I can set my preference so the thread of the conversation is retained? Thank you.

What do you use to answer the emails? Mail.app? Another email client? Or a webmail?
Does this happen with only one email address in yahoo.co.jp, or can you get teh same error with more than one account (if you know more people using yahoo in Japan that is)?
Is the text in the email in Japanese or English?
 
I use the mail that comes with OSX. The icon is a stamp with an eagle on it.

Yes it is happening with the yahoo japan client. The text is in english.
