Yahoo! Messenger and webcams

Does Yahoo! Messenger work with other webcams besides the highly expensive iSight? (please stick to Yahoo! Messenger, iChat doesn't cover my needs since it does not support HTTP proxies).

Overmore, does Yahoo! Messenger accept virtually any webcam? Any advice?

Yahoo! works fine with my usb aiptek cam using macam or ioxperts. My brother is using a d-link firewire cam which worked without any additional drivers.
Didn't understand "accept virtually any webcam"..

Sorry, it is again my stupid Spanish roots. "Que acepte virtualmente cualquier camara" means "that accepts practically any camera".

any firewire webcam and any ioxpert/macam compatible usb webcam.
btw, am fighting with my german background as well. It seems so tempting to translate the words directly..
