ydl and partitions

i have a 120 gig firewire drive partitioned into a 15 gig and an 100 gig. i'd like to install ydl 2.3 on the 15 ... i'm quite curious. the installation doesnt bother me. however, does anyone know if i install ydl on that partition, and then want to remove it ... do i lose all my stuff on the 100 partition too? ydl sets up its own 3 partitions inside of my 15, and i just dont know if i can format the 15 back to its old self without disturbing my 100.

thanks

the linux program mac-fdisk can delete partitions and you can then create a bit 15 GB HFS partition, and the old mac partition will be unharmed.

somehow i am not sure that macos disk utility will let you alter a partition map without formatting the disk. but i am pretty sure that it can work with mac-fdisk, included with ydl.
