Yellow Box works with Windows XP

Do not read this sign.
Thought some of you might be interested to hear that I was able to install Yelow Box for Windows NT on my Windows XP Home Edition computer, and things seem to work fine (so far anyway).

there was a yellow box for windows nt installer back when rhapsody was still in development. also the web objects installation contains basically a 'yellow box' for windows nt. now we need omniweb for windows xp, don't we? ;)

This might not help any, but YellowBox is kind of like Cygwin: It's a few (that might be an understatement) DLL's that provide the API for calling NSString this and NSArray that and compile/run, essentially, Cocoa apps on Windows.

Again, a similar, though less accurate, analogy would be that the Yellow Box DLL's give you a Cocoa version of a Java Virtual Machine on Windows.

For instance, I can run Project Builder, Mail, FileMerge, Preview, and others on Windows. Depending on what I'm messing with, I can even mess with my development projects on Mac and Windows, and just CVS updates back and forth.

Did I send you the link to OmniWeb 3.0 beta for Windows? I wasn't able to get it to work for me in NT4sp6 w/YB.

Off topic, did you switch you XP system back to the 2000 Pro interface (many of my friend have)?

Oh, I'll have to try OmniWeb on XP/YB.

No, I still have the Fisher Price interface on XP. It helps me keep my sanity by not taking it too seriously.
