Scott, this is exactly my point.. I use dark backgrounds and have to use them to be able to identify the icon text! I would like to be able to use some of the lighter backgrounds but obviously cannot as there is no way to change Desktop Icon Text from white colour to Black!
As for the menubar...
Does anyone know how you can display a light or white background on Mac OS X and be able to read the Icon Text??? This is one Achille's heel of the OS in my view,,,
- also do not like the fact that if you have the light menubar choice selected that any custom dock folders you have open in...

I believe it was an archive and install... Worked fine for around 6 weeks or so then suddenly the problem started up...and persisted until I removed Leo... I think this had everything to do with the graphics patch I downloaded from the Apple Site......

No I don't... I do have an Apple Agent nearby though. This problem as mentioned is unlikely to be hardware as most often the lines snap randomly to different applications.... if it is hardware it would surely affect the entire sreen all the time..... Never seen a hardware problem specifically...
...any update on the possibility of installing Tiger over Leopard???..... seems like the only thing for this now is to back up and reformat....
