Apple extends logic board repair program

I just noticed that the iBook logic board repair program has been extended to cover newer iBooks - my iBook which I bought in May last year wasn't previously covered, but now is.

The range is now: UV220XXXXXX to UV342XXXXXX

More details at the Apple site:

I wonder why there was the delay? Anyway, good to see I'm covered now should any problems arise.

This is ridiculous. Apple has the worst warranty in the world. If it was OfficeMax doing the warranty, Steve Job's would go to your door and replace the logic board the moment it gave you problems. Then he would cook you and your wife dinner while serving wine, and playing the violin to set the mood. The fact that Apple doesn't do this is ridiculous.

it's called humor. but hey, macosx.com takes off posts I made about Apple replacing laptops for bad LCD's. Who knows?

Oh, outside of humor, I think it is excellent that Apple is extending the deal with the logic board prolems. Hopefully another mishap like this won't happen again. Only time will tell though.

That extension program has been on since January. But good to bring it back up.
