Applecare question

I know this is not the right forum for this type of question but I didn't know anywhere else to put it. And it does kinda have to do with a Mac system I bought.

I bought AppleCare when I purchased my iBook, tried to enroll online but it didn't work out so I just filled out the card and mailed it in. My question is: about how long does it take to process, will I be notified my mail, and how can I check the status of my enrollment? It's been about 2 weeks since I mailed the card.
 
I enrolled in apple care for my emac on the net but it also didnt work out it said that the date i picked up the emac it didnt leave apple or something. Then i enrolled over the phone and yer it should be all working now ive called up to check how its going and they said it hadnt gone through yet so yer it shouldnt take that long.
