Cannot set the video preferences

Hi,

I have this irritating problem with my new iPod Video.

I cannot set the video preferences (itunes/preferences/ipod/video) to automatically update all videos as all video options are greyed out!

I can set the music an photo settings however. And if I mannually copy a video into the iPod using drag and drop I can see it on the iPod.

Has anyone encountered this before? Any ideas?

When I got my iPod I ran into the same situation, but it’s not a problem. iTunes interprets video as music files, so when you select automatically update all music and playlists you are also updating your videos.

I can understand that this may work but I do not want to automatically update everything. So selecting that feature will pump everything into the iPod.

Anyway, is it normal for this section to be grayed out?
 
Yeah, unless you are using manual update. Then you have the options to not update videos, update all videos, or update certain video playlists.
