I have almost 20 macs that all need to be the same software wise. they are teh same hardware wise. the only utility that I've seen that does any time of imaging is Carbon copy cloner. unfortunatly these computers don't have burners and I don't want to take the hard drive out of every computer to use CCC is there another utility out there that does imaging over a lan like symantec's ghost does for pcs?

As far as CCC goes, you can clone to a disk image, then restore from that image. I don't know if separate partitions are needed. From CCC website:

Mounted disk image. Cloning to a disk image will (obviously), not yield a bootable volume unless you use CCC to restore the image to a physical partition or disk.

These macs are a few years old. They don't have burners and the only zip they have is a 100. the 100 isn't big enough to store the image on. I was hoping for something like Symantec Ghost. :(
