Apple really needs to hit hard to compete with Flash, hopefully this link with this newly designed player controls may be something will be seeing more of... really clean really intuitive.

Are you talking about that dark grey bar at the bottom? That wouldn't be a new interface, it's been on the site for more than 6 months.

I sure hope this doesn't become standard. It's big, ugly, and not as functional as the normal control bar. QuickTime has always had a great interface. One of the main reasons I hate the surging popularity of Flash video is Flash's hackish, clunky interface....which this apparently tries to mimic.

I just don't see the advantage here. I thought it was a hack to make it harder to save the movie to disk, but apparently not. Control-clicking the movie lets you save it like normal. I just don't get it.
