Crashed hard disk tool?

My hard disk have crashed And Disk Utility and DiskWarrior 3.0.3 can find the disk, but both are saying "Fatal error" and can not do anything to the disk. Is there any other tool I can try or any other suggestions?

I can't start in single mode either.

Tech Tools Deluxe comes with Applecare - do you have that?

If DiskWarrior and TechTool fail, I hope you had a recent backup.
(or then looking at data recovery companies, e.g. drivesavers).

Yes; the ones that accomplish exactly what you intend to do. Unfortunately, expectations are always higher than the results.

Any that you would suggest for this use?
Drivesavers and other data recovery companies probably do what they promise, but those will usually cost significantly more. So instead of $ 50 or $ 100 program we'll be multiplying the figures quite a bit.

I have a similar situation from a MacBook drive. I'd tried Disk Warrior and DataRescue, but to no avail.

Since those failed me I've sent it to aerodr.com in hopes that they will be able to recover my drive. Has anyone had any experience with them?

They are flat fee at $289. However, I had to supply an external USB powered drive of equal to greater size.

I'll post my results when I get my drive back next week.
