Hi folk hope you had a happy xmas?
I've just installed gnome 2.8 on my test system which is also running fink at the moment.
I have a couple of question which I hope someone can answer for me.
When I try and launch gnome-session it opens the 2.6 version that fink installed if I run this command in the terminal it comes back with /sw/bin/gnome-session which makes sense but how in the hell do I tell it to look in my darwinports folder?
I have deleted my .xinitrc file and my .profile has this in it :-
export PATH=$PATH:/opt/local/bin
One last question how do you know if an item is installed with darwinports fink when you list the item shows an (i) next to the file on the left. Can't seem to find this in the faqs on darwinports site.
