I woke up this morning to sadly find out that my superdrive seems completely, 100%, dead.
It no longer makes that mechanical noise when rebooting, and when i try to insert any type of media, it never grabs a hold of it with whatever mechanism does it. It's like there's no power to it at all or something.
I have no idea if this coincided with the 10.3.9 update or not. The superdrive does not show up in System Profiler under ATA.
Why does this have to happen 13 days before Tiger?
The system is a 15" 1GHz Titanium PowerBook
