Energy?

Several times a day, I get the attached 'banner' atop either Facebook or Yahoo finance. Never have had this before, but started showing up a month or two ago.
The only thing that has changed, to my knowledge, is a new battery that Apple installed. (2015 MBP)
I have 16 Gigs of RAM and usually only 4-5 web pages open.



What part of my system (10.14.6--Mojave) &/or prefs causes this to pop up?

Closing the page does not improve anything! Any way to eliminate it?

I get that as well (running 10.13.6 & Safari 13.1.2). I just click on the x, then reload the web page. I don't notice any slow down.

Cheryl, now that you mention it, I'm inclined to think that Safari 13.1.2 is the culprit. I see no difference whether I dismiss it or reload.
