fink installs not working

I am not sure that this is the right place to post this so if it isn't please correct me.

I installed and updated the fink package and then moved on to installing pine. I must be doing something wrong because when I try to start pine I get "command not found". It also seems like my man pages are hokie.

It does appear that the pine package installed correctly. The only thing I can think would be wrong would be that I installed the ssl version, does the plain version also need to be installed as well? Or can I just install the pine-ssl?
 
Ok...so I got pine to launch...now I can't change the user name. I see the listings for smtp, nntp and can put in my user-domain but where in the heck is the place for my user id?
