GarageBand 2???

I got a new lap top that has GarageBan 2 in it and i was wondering what it does and how i use it. And can i like mix songs and stuff together and like make songs by using it (like take 2 premade songs and mix them into one).

Im new to mac so im like lost here

Yes, you can make your own songs or, with a little more skill, mix with existing songs (try dragging a song in from iTunes to see what I mean). It takes a bit of skill but can get some great results. There are a lot of good books out there about GarageBand and iLife which will teach you how to use the software.

It really is designed for making your own music though. You can plug in midi devices such as keyboards, compose music by drag-and-dropping notes on the stave, plug in live audio sources including electric guitars, and so on.
