GMail Scam?

I just received the letter below in my email...i am thinking it is a scam, what do you think?

I know i probably shouldn't have downloaded the attachment, but, i am on a Mac so i'm not that worried. The details.rar was password protected, the password was in the jpeg attached above it, but even after i entered the password, it said the archive was corrupt.

Ok, it definitely is a scam. I scanned the attachment with Virex 7.2.1, and it reports that "details.rar" is in fact infected with the W32/Bagle.gen@MM!pwdrar
virus.

so gmail users, beware!
 
Why do scammers have such poor writing skills? That alone made the E-mail lose all credibility.
 
yeah that was the first thing that made me suspicious.

Every two days I've been getting this E-mail at my Yahoo account:

Yeah, it's done this way to fool spam filters, but man... "We must check that your Yahoo! ID was registered by real people"?!
