How do you remove it and what do you call it in Safari?
The box where you enter the URL. Every when I type "www." it will automatically roll down a long list.

I tried to do a search in this forum, but didn't know what it's call so I just search for Safari and couldn't find any answer.

Can any one please help.

Don't type http or www, just type the address.
Maybe someone else knows how to disable. I haven't found where.

Clear the cache by choosing the appropriate option from the "Safari" menu.

Sites in your bookmarks will always show up regardless of whether you clear the cache or not.

ElDiabloConCaca is right.
I cleared the cache, history and every thing, even downloaded "Cache Out X" & "sterMachine" to clean up, but it still stays. Until I deleted some of the unused bookmarks, and those are gone from the list. So we need to find out how to disable it like what Bobw, said.
BTW what do you call that thing. So I will try to do some search on other forums.

Well, it's a combination of browser "history" and "auto-complete". The websites come from your bookmarks, history and cache, and the term that Apple uses (as well as most other browsers) is auto-complete of URLs.

You may want to check versiontracker.com for Safari utilities -- some of them may have the option to disable URL auto-complete. Here's one that may help:

Thanks ElDiabloConCaca,
Downloaded Safari Enhancer, did all the setting, applied it and still got the listing (see attachment).
