I have an EyeTV 200 hooked up through firewire to my iMac G5 2Ghz. I've used it for 2 years with no problems, but after upgrading to Leopard the playback is extremely slow and unwatchable.
I've tried upgrading to the latest leopard-compatible version of EyeTV v2 software, and downgrading to EyeTV v1, but both have the same issues.
It plays back fine on my MacBook Pro running Leopard, so I'm thinking it may be that Leopard's extra CPU/GPU requirements are preventing smooth playback. The iMac G5 has that notoriously crappy video card the GeForce 5200.
Is anyone else watching EyeTV in Leopard on an iMac G5 or equivalent?
