IMAP/POP Problem on Mac OS X Server 10.5.4

Hi,

I just installed Mac OS X Server 10.5.4. I am trying to enable the Mail Service/Server. It shows the the SMTP Incoming and Outgoing is enabled in the Server Admin, but for IMAP and POP, they are not running/enabled.

I have went through and reconfigured it to enable IMAP and POP, but the services will not start.

The server can receive Mail just fine.

If I go to the webmail by typing in http://mydomain.com/webmail and try to log in, I get the following error message.
________
Error connecting to IMAP server: localhost.
61 : Connection refused
________

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks

Could be a lot of things, some related, some not...

First, we should evaluate why IMAP/POP won't start. If that's still the case...

Second, do you have SSL enabled? Also, what port? If you are requiring SSL, try bumping it down to Use or Don't. Also, any change in authentication methods? For example, you may be using cram-md5 instead of login, but not have the configuration files updated to reflect that. You can check that at:

/etc/squirrelmail/config/config.php

and looking at the entry:

$imap_auth_mech =
