My daughter is a network tech and reports that her new Macbook Pro is dropping 50% of packets on VoIP connections -- and next to none on WiFi or direct ethernet. She's being told by other network techs that this not uncommon with Intel chips (on PCs) and is not a defect of her particular Mac. She's being told PC manufacturers have acknowledged the problem.....but not Apple.
We're trying to find out whether this is indeed a common problem, or if we need to return the Mac. We've been to the geniuses at the Apple Store and they're befuddled.
