Hello all,

I am pretty new to the osx world, and have a powerbook G4 using 10.4.6 and a imac G5.. using the same i can network between the two using a crossover cable, but the problem is, i am using the 56k built in modem in the powerbook (due to the rubbish place im situated, there is no high speed yet) to connect to the internet!!

My question is, can i? and how do i use the imac to connect to the internet through the powerbook?? Or is there a idiots guide i can go through to do it!!

Thanks to anyone for a suggestion!!! (Im still learning)

I've never done this, but I'd think it'd work:

Once you got one computer connected to the internet, (on the host computer) you can go to System Preferences --> Sharing --> Internet. Select "Share your connection from: Built-in Ethernet". Give it a minute. Test. If that doesn't work, (in the second computer) go to System Preferences --> Network, and make sure that it is set up to have its IP assigned through DHCP.
