Looking for a music player

I have many gigs of music on a Linux machine that I have networked to my iBook. I would like to be able to have them all in a library that I can organize into playlists on my iBook, but I want to leave the actual files on the Linux machine as it has 10X the disk space of my iBook's tiny drive. I tried this in iTunes but it tried to import all the songs to the library in my iBook. Does anyone know of a player that will allow me to play and organize the files without importing them to my Mac's drive? thanks

I assume you mean that when you added the files to your iTunes Library, it started actually COPYING the files.... Sounds like you want to do this...

From the iTunes menu, choose "Preferences"
Click "Advanced" icon
Uncheck the option "Copy files to ITUnes Music folder when adding to library"
Click "OK"

Done.
Now drag the files to your iTunes library. You'll be using the files from the linux machine, but they will be listed in your iTunes library. Spiff, eh?
