as explained before i wa loading down updates from apple and at the restart i cannot gt past the grey screen.
I have tried all the things you sent me but to no avail.
using fsck the report says that the disc is okay but it also says thatthe wide area service discovery disabled to prevent crashing of relay168.95.1.1.
It also says display family specific matching fails.
I purchased the mac book in vancouver in 2007 april. My discs are at home in cornwall england but the macbook is registered I think I purchased extra warranty but I am in Spain so cannot be sure . There is a service station in Malaga.
Can you help further. Mike Hopkins

Try reseting the PRAM by pressing Command-Option-P-R after you hear the boot chime then release after the second chime.

AppleCare is worldwide, so if you registered it within the first 12 months, you could use the AASP in Malaga (if it's close to you) even if your disks are in UK.
