Mail.app v1.2.5 (Jag) - How do I change where sent mail is kept?

I have multiple email accounts set-up in Mail.app, and here's what I have.

POP account that is my main work account. Also, I have an IMAP account that doesn't receive incoming mail, but I can access the messages from any computer (including thru a webmail interface).

I want to do for Sent Items the same that I've done for the Inbox. When a new message comes in, I have a rule that transfers the message from my POP box to my IMAP box. Now when I send, I want my sent mail that's sent w/ my POP account to end-up in my IMAP Sent Items.

Right clicking on folders I can see stuff like "Use this mailbox for sent", but it's always greyed-out. Does anyone know how I can do this? Thanks.

So I guess the only ways to get at sent mail remotely is to:
1 - copy the local SentItems.mbox file
2 - use vnc from the remote computer to access Mail.app thru the GUI.

Any better ideas? Thanks.
 
could you just send the mail with the imap account selected in mail.app? it should work with the pop as return address and using smtp authentication

maybe set up an applescript (just guessing, never used it before) to run every day and copy the sent items to the other box? assuming the computer is left on
