my printer does nt print

when I try to print, my printer doesn't work, and its icon in the bottom bar appear with a red exclamation point, as if in pause.
I have installed snowleopard, the printer is an old epson, nothing in the printing queue, up to leopard no problem, if I check the connection via utility airport everything is ok, the toner is new, with my old mac everything goes smooth.
