I am using NetBarrier X with OSX 10.1.2, and it works great at filtering those annoying commercial banners and pop-ups.
But today i had to use Netscape 4.79 under Classic to do some homebanking (only way for me to do so), and i realized that all banners are back, for every site i open in Netscape Classic. I tried with IE Classic, and again, no banner filter works.
But under X again, banner filters work great! Both with IE and Mozilla.
So... it looks like the way Classic apps access the net bypass NetBarrier settings.
I also discovered that if you choose "Brand my computer..." in the Privacy/Surf tab on NetBarrierX, no Classic browser can anymore access the net.
Any ideas?
