All my bookmarks were gone in safari (2.0.3), but not my history from earlier. I was getting a question in regards to safari "the keychain cannot be found for safari" something to that affect. I fixed that issue. When I restarted my computer I got the MAC OS X setup assistant, all the icons on the desktop are large, not everyhing that opens on the dock on startup is there. I have read here that I may need to reformat my drive and reinstall my system. I don't have my system software here and not sure when I could get it. PLease help!!! In a panic

this has happened to me.... i think... i think its 6 times, its because you've renamed an important file, every time I rename my home folder, it resets my mac, and now ive upgraded to leopard I'm not even allowed to try at all! basically just think what your doing before you go messing round
