photoshop is broken!

ok, i thought my 10.2.4 update just killed my photoshop, but apparently not. i just reinstalled on a clean partition, only carryin over my documents and a few innocuous apps that i have had for months. unfortunately photoshop is still broken.

on running photoshop i get a pop up with the blue circle and italic i icon saying "The application Photoshop has unexpectedly quit. the system and other applications have not been affected."


i dont think its anything to do with photoshop itself, it has always worked well and just got a fresh install. if anyojne has any ideas please help

have you tried trashing the photoshop prefs? They would be in your users library/preferences folder.

Someone mentioned that if you did the 'defaults write 'Apple Global Domain' AppleAntiAliasingThreshold' command to get font smoothing turned off, it could cause a problem with photoshop launching.

If you did, just open the system prefs, and set the Antialiasing threshold back to 12 or lower from the pulldown in General. Log out, log back in, and see if its fixed.
