Print From OS X to OS 9

How do you do it? You would think this would be easy! Anyway the printer I want to print from is hooked up to my OS 9 machine via USB. I have sharing turned on and I can navigate between hard drives easaly, but I can't print from my OS X machine to my OS 9 machine. Why is this, and is it possible?

If you can navigate between hard drives, then just save your print jobs to PDF's, and then print the PDF directly from the OS 9 machine.

Don't think it will work like that.

OS X will share a printer to an OS 9 machine, but only through Classic, so I doubt you can share an OS 9 machines printer with OS X through USB.

Check to see if your OS 9 printer is supported in OS X; maybe you could salvage it, use wise. Otherwise, I agree you need to make pdfs and send them to your OS 9 computer attached to the printer. Or reboot your OS X machine to Classic…Perish the thought!

For any printer that you DO have the driver for on OS X, an OS 9 computer can be made into an LPR print server. Use the freeware LPR software Print66 from:
