problem with Mac the Ripper, please help...

I have been using Mac the Ripper quite consistently since i downloaded it. I have had no problems with any of the DVDs i have been wanting to rip. Recently i tried to rip my cousins copies of Stanger than Fiction and Casino Royale. Whenever I put either of these discs into my computer and open up MtR, the scanning begins but stops almost as quick as it begins. It claims that it "cannot read the DVD file structure" or something. Does anyone know any way or other products to bypass this problem.

The DVDs work on the DVD player (on same comupter as MtR) so i know they work.

Any help or information about my dilemma would be appreciated.
