Replacement iMac Drive

Quietly

Maybe
Just thought I'd check before buying.

Western Digital Caviar WD600JB Special Edition - Hard drive - 60 GB - standard - 3.5" - ATA-100 - 7200 rpm - 2 MB

Will this do as a replacement HD for my iMac G3 400MHz DVSE? Are there any problems I should know (except for the 'shouldn't use a 7200 rpm disk drive', which you all seem to think is rubbish anyway!)

As the guy up there mentioned, it should be all right. I changed my original slow and crappy 7 gig from my G3 iMac to a 7200RPM WD 10gig. A little more noisy but the sllightly higher heat generated by the HD didn't affect the rest of the computer

I just swapped my original 6GB to Seagate 20 GB... I'm on the drive DB with two hits... IDE HD Seagate and IDE CD-RW HP... hihi

I have not heard of "should not use 7200 RPM drives" for these imacs before. can anyone give me more details on this?
