Any ideas on cost of replacing a monitor on an iBook G4? Mine had a bit of an accident and needs to be replaced. Is it worth replacing?

What's the Serial Number? To find it, CAREFULLY lift out the keyboard -- it's on a label just below. If you're not sure how to do this, take it to your local Apple Authorized Reseller.

If you are technical savvy, you can purchase an iBook G3 (w/a failed logic) and swap the LCD panels. Only the iBook G4 1.33 model uses a hi-res LCD, but even then one of these G3 LCDs will work just fine. Just make sure you get the appropriate size (12 or 14" model). The good thing is that you don't need to remove the display assy just to replace the LCD as on some models.

Otherwise, send it or take it to a dealer that can do this type of repair at reasonable rates.

Also, if only part of the screen is damaged (say, by the sun or a wayward tool) you can get this information from the Apple Menu > About This Mac and click the text that says "Version 10.x.x" twice.
