I've been looking at web application solutions recently and stumbled upon something that I think might help me, Ruby on Rails. Basically what I'm looking to do in the long run is create a web app (just a site really) where I can access a private page, make a post to another page, and people can browse my posts. Sounds a lot like a blog, but I don't want to go into further detail until I know what I'm getting into.
Is Ruby on Rails something I can do this with? I've been trying to read a little about it with no luck. I've also looked into PHP and MySQL but because I'm such a beginner at this type of stuff I have no idea what to do!
