Router compatible only with Windows Vista?

Hi! I'm very interested in the DIR-655 XTREME N GIGABIT ROUTER (http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=530) but when you click on the works with button, it says it only works with Windows 7 and Vista. Are they saying that you can only take advantage of the included software if you have Windows 7 or Vista, or are they saying the product is totally inoperable unless you use those operating systems?

This ain't that hard. The router supports wired and wireless standards. It is administered via a web browser. Plug-in the router, fire-up your network-compatible device, and you are on your way.

This router includes a USB port for SharePort™ and Windows Connect support. However, support for these technologies should not block access by Blu-ray players, PS3 game consoles, iPhones, Linux machines, network printers, and Macs.

Long story short--the D-Link DIR-655 Xtreme N™ Gigabit Router is not Windows-exclusive.
