I have a Microsoft MN-510 Wireless Usb Adapter that I used for a windows machine that I sold. I plugged it in to my mac to see if it could connect to the internet but it didn't work, the system profiler recognizes the device. Is there anyway I can get my powermac g3 on the internet using the wireless adapter?

Any Help is greatly appreciated!!!!

If you're using OS X and have the latest version of the Airport Software installed, then it might detect it. If it uses the Broadcom chipset that the Airport Extreme uses, then it should work. If not, then you might have to check online. A quick Google search for "Macintosh" and "wireless" should do the trick.

I think the chipset is Intersil Prism2 USB. This may be similar to the Broadcom chipset used by Airport but I'm not certain about this.

It may also work with one of the Belkin drivers for mac (google for it).

Check out http://kismac.de/hardwarelist.php?order=vendorDESC

This says the chipset is Intersil Prism2 USB.
Unfortunately this is not a download page for the wireless driver, (only a stumbler package) but it is helpful in identifying the chipset name.
Will add later if I find a download page somewhere.

OK, It seems the DWL-122 FROM D-link will work.
You need at least OSX 10.2 and it will only work as 802.1b but it might be enough for your needs. Try this link:
