VPN from MacBook to PC Windows

I have setup everything for VPN from my mac at home to my PC in office.

When I first click connect, it will prompt me that the password has expired and it requires me to enter a new password and retype the password to confirm (my tech colleague already informed me that this step will popup and I need to enter a new password)

However, after I've entered the new password, it will prompt me "Authentication failed", why is that? how can I solve it?

Please kindly help.

What version of OS X are you running and what version of Windows is your work running? Does your work use a firewall?
