When will iPod mini be in Apple retail stores?

Does anyone know when the iPod mini will be available in the Apple retail store. I have one in the mall near me and would really like to pick up one there instead of paying for shipping from apple.com
 
They will start shipping in the middle of February [also from the site, not before].
