    Animated gifs

    Yep, you can just add layers in Photoshop, each layer being slightly changed from the one before, then switch to Imageready and select 'Save layers as frames' option. After some tweaking, then save the GIF, all transparency etc. is supported in Imageready, here's one I made earlier: :p

    Halo not performing well.

    I'm afraid that everyone has accept that you can't max out everything on Halo and get good frame-rates... Once you put everything on medium it actually is a pretty good game, my only complaint is the 2 weapons thing, that is very annoying imo... BTW Pippin, how far did you get in the game...

    Cheapest method for capturing analogue video?

    I was using a Formac Studio box to do this (I had my PS2 hooked up) note all this is past tense, as since I got rid of my G4 and got a G5, the Studio does not work properly :mad: I'm sure there's a TV PCI card somewhere with video/audio input, they are common enough... Edit: here's one...

    I just noticed something - There's no OS9 System folder or Applications folder in the new drive, I am suspicious that the install is wrong now. I'm gonna wipe and start again...

    Yes I did that. I have another related question: When I installed Jag 10.2, I went through each update in turn until I got to 10.2.8 G5, which would not install, so I used 10.2.8 standard update instead. So if 10.2.8 G5 update needs 10.2.7 - where is 10.2.7? I see no update with that number...

    I have a G5 1.8GHz running Panther on a 160GB HD. I also need to run Jaguar on a second drive (120GB) I have installed Jag and run all the updates to 10.2.8, but it won't boot from drive 2, any ideas? (apologies if this has been covered before) :o
