I tried that and the prompt didn't seem to work. I opened Mail anyways and syncserver is still taking up the ram and cpu.

ok i did have growl but i uninstalled it because i realized that i dont use it at all. I had installed it for adium. Now my iphone doesnt sync at all, and I dont have any music or contacts or apps... and syncserver is still taking up all the ram and cpu. I uninstalled itunes and all its related...
I dont have .mac or mobile me accounts, if theres any problem with syncing i'd assume its with itunes and iphone. I tried what the applesupport site said but again, for some reason i dont have a syncservices folder
There is another thread with the same problem but there seems to be no answer or it was just ignored.
When I start up my computer, it lags because syncserver is taking up all the cpu and most of the memory. Many other links say to check the library folder: syncservices, but i do not have one...
i dont mind the 5 hours, but i used to have 3:30 to 4 hours and now its down to less than 2.
but all is good, apple is sending me a new battery. They actually have technicians that talk on the phone :)

I seem to have another problem. When I try to install the update, my macbook pro crashes and i never actually get the update. I have tried it multiple times.
actually i just read some other thread and it said to use a paper clip. You stretch it out and stick it in as far as it goes and slide it on through the left side. Worked like a charm. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=814884&tstart=0
I plugged in some old speakers into my macbook pro and unplugged them and a red light appeared and my internal speakers would not work. I have restarted my computer and i hear the booting up sound but the speakers dont work again. The red light isnt on now but the speakers arent working still...
I have a similar error, but my computer gets sluggish when i come out of sleep instead. Sometimes my mouse goes crazy. Can someone pleaaase tell me what to do. Its on my macbook with leopard and im a new mac user.
