I am on an ethernet that connects to a microsoft departmental server. When connecting to the aps file server I get a 5002 error which is specified as an apple connection utility on the server failing. However there are other OSX machines that connect to the same server. I do not have problems...

I just ran the Quickbench utility on a G3 (10.0.4) at the University of Texas and got a result of 2.566666603088379 The slowness problems i have experienced all seem related to things GUI.. doh.

I found apachectl in etc/sbin. command line usage yielded an intelligible error message regarding the http.conf file. apparently all the "Web Sharing" button does is run apachectl -start/-stop, with no feedback of course. Have fun everyone.
