Since I originally posted this problem Real Player have released the latest upgrade to cover intel Macs. Having installed the upgrade I have to say the problem is now completely solved. Real Player now works brilliantly with the BBC News site; nice to see Mac owner were not forgotten after all!

I am thinking of buying a new imac which means transfering my keychain data (apart from everthing else!) from my previous mac running Jaguar to Tiger. Is there an easy way of transfering all the keychain data from the old computer to the new one?

The ISP she is using is Freeserve which is just a straight dial-up through remote access. Freeserve is working fine the problem is definately on her side, will try and locate the preferences and trash them as you suggest. Thanks for your help. Dennis.

Urbansory, you are right I am not up to it! like most users I can set things up within the preference settings etc but prefer to leave terminal strictly alone! I just know I would get things all screwed up! Fortunately all seems ok again now so perhaps my imac just needed a couple of restarts.

cf25 - Thanks for your reply, I have no idea why but after a second shut-down and start up Macjanitor is now working fine again!! (still using version 1.2)

Having just upgraded to 10.2.8 (latest version) it seems that neither Macjanitor or Cocktail will work when it comes to running the Cron Scripts? Anyone got any ideas what has gone wrong?

It annoys me that when ever I click on one of my email links in Mail,I then have to sit there whilst Internet Explorer starts and takes for ever (on my dial up connection) to load the page. Does anyone know if there is a way I can alter this so that I can make Camino or Safari the default...

My fist imac (233mhz rev B model) running OS 9.2 has now decided to keep changing the date settings on startup. For some reason the date reverts back to 27/08/56!!! Anybody got any ideas as to what may have gone wrong everything else seems to work fine.
