Well, I downloaded a free non-WYSIWYG HTML code editor, and I think I'll try to code my websites by hand, unless I find DW MX and a good price. I know most of it already - just a few things with CSS and tables I need to learn.

Darn it, this makes things hard. Any idea where I could pick up a copy of Dreamweaver MX (not 2004)?

I can't really download the trial. It's 65MB and I've got a dial-up connection. I wonder just how slow Dreamweaver would be for me. Anyone else using it with a similar system?

Just got Panther a few days ago, and Photoshop last night - and I'm loving it. I'm upgrading from OS9, so it's a big change for me.

I currently own Dreamweaver 4, but I'm pretty sure that won't work with Mac OS X. Is it at all reasonable to use it under Classic environment under OSX, or would that be way too slow? I would buy the new version, but I've heard it's slow, especially Dreamweaver MX 2004. Is it possible to go...

CSS is great, but I still like building layouts with some tables.

I've seen them on a few buses in the Seattle area (the iTunes advertisments).

Mr. K: yeah, you can do it with the F9/F10/F11 keys I think. You might be able to set your own... I'm not sure. I'll find out once I get Mac OS v10.3 :D

I loff my Dreamweaver... why would you want anything else? :) Heh. Actually, I'm starting to code stuff myself now, but Dreamweaver is a very nice program, and the speed of it seems like a small price to pay. What sort of Mac do you have? How fast is it?

I'm interested in that question too, because I'll be getting Panther pretty soon (ordered it yesterday from Apple's website). I guess a clean install would be better, because I haven't really used OSX much at all (maybe once or twice) before now, so it's not any trouble for me to do it that way...?

You know, something sort of like this happened to me on OS 9.2.2. Microsoft Word started acting funny, and worked fine on another user account. So if you find some way to fix this sort of thing, I'd like to know what the solution is.

Are you able to close it with expose? Hmm. When I had a PC, I used to get tons of popups like that, but I've never seen anything like it on my Mac (currently 9.2.2/IE 5, soon to be 10.3).

Thanks for responding :) I've just ordered Mac OS v10.3, a big upgrade for me because until now I've been on v9.2.2, and I'll be getting Photoshop before too much longer.
