Not really on a mac but certainly on the windows OS Macromedia and adobe do have their own style of UI maybe not drastically different from windows Ui but u can instantly identify that its one of their apps and thats what I think apple want to do with their software, I liek the chrome look...

Hmmm... Interesting view on the brushed metal UI, personally I think its apple trying to post a mark on their software so it can easily be identified from the rest of the OS. If u buy software it uses the regular UI so u are instantly aware its not apple's, but the brushed metal software...

just change the extension to .smi and install like a regular app

When I see other ppls screenshots they have msn msgr in their dock and they always have a aqua looking icon? is this a newer version than 2.0 or are they just changing the icon? I love that icon where is it?

Ok I remember looking at screenshots of osx when it was in early public beta with the centred apple menu and the ugly squares in the dock. But I am doing a college essay and wondered if anyone had any older screenies? surely aqua wasn't apples first attempt its a big transition from platinum I...

I was speaking to some reps in my local retail outlet and they said that apple of only confirmed that it will be released at paris expo and they don't know nothing about shipping or prices but they had heard that ppl who purchased mac os after sept 1st get it free on cd...... don't know how well...

Hmmm..... let me cut this long story quite short as not to bore you. Well I really feel I need to share this with you all. I have used windows since 3.1 religously and never even thought of owning a mac. With all the excitement of OSX I thought I'd look into the possibilty and a month later here...

I think this wouldn't work because the text on the desktop is white so the drop shadows fit well and the text under files is black so a drop shadow would just look messy not sure but it sounds rite:)
