I reinstalled the powerbook yesterday and I found out that even after I formatted the harddisk in the installer, the problem still existed. So I think it's a hardware problem.
I possibly own a Powerbook that previously belonged to Charr. It is surrounded by mysterious forces. When I hover my hand above it, it goes to sleep. I made a film about this strange phenomenon.

I'm looking for an iconset set I saw recently (I thought on xicons.com) but I can't find it anymore. The set contains of a lot of aqua flags exactly like the one below:
The last time I installed it, I didn't see the custom install option. Just downloaded a .smi installer from HP and Panther couldn't unpack it so I'll try again in the morning.
I wil have to use the new update from HP then. But I still don't like it that it installs so much apps and things I don' need. From the list below I only need the scanning software, but it installs it all (55 Mb!):

I own a HP psc 1210 all-in-one printer/scanner. I don't want to install the HP software that came with it because it installs too much files on my eMac. Printing in Panther is no problem, but scanning is.
Vuescan can't find my scanner, so where can I find software so I can scan with my HP 1210.
Don't listen to those 'horror stories' about vanishing Home folders. Whatever update Apple releases, those stories always appear. Trust Apple more than those horror posters and just install this update!!!
Setting up an audio chat is very simple. Just double click a buddy. iChat now ask what kind of way to chat you would like. You can choose from:

Problem solved. We took out the battery for quite a while. Connected min and plus from the battery holder. Put the iMac together. PMU reset by holding the powerbutton. Immediately after that we resetted PRAM (apple-option-P-R) three times. It booted from the harddisk as if nothing had happened.
