Something that I long for in OS X - being a UNIX junkie for quite some time now, is the function of having inactive users logged out after a specified amount of time. I know there are things that will do this - but they seem to log you out after that time period. What I want is to log users...

Had this exact same problem... I was using ProFTP though. This fixed it for me though. Go into NetInfo Manager and check what the shell is for the ftp user. Mine was set to /dev/null. Now, check the /etc/shells file and make sure it's listed in there... if not, add it. Good luck!

I'm going insane trying to figure out what the heck is wrong with my sendmail, and get nowhere. Did a clean install of 10.2. First, I followed the intructions at: http://www.macdevcenter.com/pub/a/mac/2002/06/07/sendmail_1015.html (Note: I added the Don'tBlameSendmail thing to the config)...
