    If this is your only drive the jumpers should be set to Master....or to cable select...not sure if this option works on imac/os x. If it's set to slave then all the os sees is a storage drive. At least this is how it works on Wintel machines

    Aloha, I just joined and am trying to do the same thing....my new-old imac needed ram too. try www.newegg.com I just purchased 2 PC133 SDRAM chips 256Mb each, for only 24.99 a piece. And having experimented with this machine already, any PC100, PC133 (not sure about faster speeds) will work...
