I was going to say that. They havne't developed IE since 2003 so not much point using it. Firefox 2 is a much better browser.

Don't use Norton Utilities on OS X. If disk utility will not repair the drive then it sounds to me like you might need a new one.

I don't see any advantages to downloading the updates from the apple site unless you were going to use them on other machines. Why would this be a 'rule'? Surely it's personal preference and software update is accurate and very easy to use. I would ignore this comment if I were you.

Hook up an external screen to it and if that works you know it's the monitor and if it doesn't you know it's the logic board.

I agree too. It's always given me the option to ignore previously imported pics.

I work for a big publishing company and all the machines have their specific image installed. I deleted the finder preferences already. I'm probably going to upgrade to 10.4.7 this afternoon.
